What Patricia Will Fight For

A Clear Plan for District 7

District 7 has been overlooked for too long. Patricia June's platform is built on five pillars — each one rooted in what residents have asked for and what she has seen and experience as a resident raising a family.  Patricia June is driven by compassion, social responsibility, and the desire to create a positive impact rather than financial gain.

01

Public Safety & Neighborhood Security

Every resident deserves to feel safe walking to school, sitting on their porch, and raising their family in District 7.

Community Policing

Advocate for officers who live in and know our neighborhoods — building trust, not just enforcement.

Lighting & Infrastructure

Push for fully lit streets, repaired sidewalks, and maintained public spaces that deter crime and signal investment.

Violence Prevention Programs

Fund community-based intervention programs that address the root causes of violence before they escalate.

Public Transit Access 7 Days a Week

Work with the public transit system to ensure reliable service is available to District 7 residents every day of the week — including routes that reach those in underserved areas who need to get to work, grocery stores, medical appointments, and more.

Rebuilding Our Neighborhood Watch

Rebuild and modernize the District 7 Neighborhood Watch program with new, safer ways for residents to report criminal activity — protecting those who speak up while keeping our streets informed and connected.

Advocate Counseling for Parents

Establish dedicated advocate counseling designed for mothers and fathers of children and teenagers already in the juvenile system, or showing early warning signs — giving parents the tools, support, and guidance to intervene before it's too late.

02

Declining Nuisance Businesses

Evidence shows that concentrations of alcohol outlets and nuisance businesses drive up crime, depress property values, and harm the health of our community.

Zoning & Licensing Reform

Use zoning authority to decline new liquor licenses and nuisance business permits in already-saturated areas of District 7.

Community Impact Reviews

Require community impact assessments before approving any business that has historically contributed to poverty clusters or neighborhood decline.

Accountability for Existing Operators

Work with city enforcement to hold existing nuisance businesses accountable through regular inspections and license reviews.

03

Community Investment

District 7 schools, parks, and streets have been underfunded for decades. Patricia will fight to redirect city resources where they're needed most.

School Funding Equity

Advocate for equitable distribution of city education funding so District 7 schools have the resources to help every child succeed.

Parks & Green Space

Invest in safe, well-maintained parks and recreational facilities that give children and families a place to gather and grow.

Street & Infrastructure Repair

Prioritize long-deferred road repairs, sidewalk maintenance, and public infrastructure upgrades throughout the district.

04

Economic Development & Local Jobs

District 7 residents should be the first to benefit from economic growth in Montgomery — not the last.

Local Hiring Requirements

Push for community benefit agreements that require developers receiving city incentives to hire locally from District 7.

Small Business Support

Champion grants, low-interest loans, and technical assistance for small businesses owned by District 7 residents.

Workforce Training

Partner with local colleges and trade programs to bring job training and certification opportunities directly into the district.

Business Community Reinvestment

Work with local businesses, chain stores, and large retailers operating in District 7 to contribute to the betterment of the community they profit from — through sponsorships, local hiring, community programs, and reinvestment in the neighborhoods they serve.

Constituent Services & Dispute Resolution

Provide responsive constituent services so every District 7 resident has a direct line to their council member — and establish clear, fair dispute resolution processes so community concerns are heard and acted on, not ignored.

Coalition Building

Build coalitions across neighborhoods, organizations, and city departments to amplify District 7's voice at the council table and deliver results that no single advocate could achieve alone.

Eliminating Wasteful Spending

Eliminate wasteful spending and ensure the city budget prioritizes what matters most — critical infrastructure, public safety, and the services District 7 residents have gone without for too long.

05

Youth, Elders & Family Services

A strong community takes care of its most vulnerable — our children, our seniors, and every family in between.

After-School & Youth Programs

Expand funding for after-school programs, summer camps, and mentorship initiatives that keep young people engaged and safe.

Senior Services & Transportation

Improve access to senior centers, meal programs, and reliable transportation so our elders can age with dignity in their own community.

Family Resource Centers

Establish accessible family resource hubs in District 7 offering social services, health referrals, and community support under one roof.

Stand With Patricia

This platform was built by listening to District 7 residents. Help us turn these commitments into action.
